About Our Foundation:

PHEBE'S HELPING HANDS was born out of great love and heartbreaking tragedy. Phebe Blessington spent most of her life on stage, singing and entertaining people. Her voice as well as who she was touched your soul. She had a very special gift for helping others in need - whether a friend or a stranger. She constantly gave her time to benefits, charities and fundraisers, all the while involving as many family members and friends as she could.

In 1994 Phebe decided she needed to do more. With the help of her longtime friend and music partner, Brian, they founded "PHEBE & BRIAN'S FIGHT FOR KIDS". With the support of her family, friends, and fans, that first benefit raised over $20,000 for charities such as the Leukemia Society of America and The Children's Miracle Network. From that day forward it became an annual event. The 4th Fight for Kids benefit was held in honor of Phebe's memory and spirit. Earlier that year, Phebe was killed by a careless driver. All who loved Phebe are committed to keeping her spirit and work alive. At the 5th fight for Kids, PHEBE'S HELPING HANDS was established to lend a hand directly to children and families in need.
